In the present article the definitions of indexing are discussed. Then thoughts, approaches,
policies, principles, and executive guidelines related to the indexing of
Islamic documents and information center are presented. The paper aims to develop
the culture of discussion, review and evaluation of the different viewpoints, experiences
and innovations in information centers—especially in the field of Islamic sciences—
to improve local and comprehensive standards in the field of indexing.
