Purpose: To examine properties of modern media and patterns of communication in such
media as well as thegap between them and older media
Design/Methodology/Approach: Review of library resources.
Findings: Trend of communication patterns of modern media is toward reviving old
modes of information transfer and interpersonal communication.
Conclusion: With the advance of modern technologies, the sense of interpersonal communication
will be replicated entirely. Advances in infrastructure, hardware, and software
development have led to the improvement of the quality of communication. That process
not only has changed one-sided transfer of messages, but also has moved beyond the text
based interactions, and turned to interactive multimedia.
