To ensure consistency in Persian-language reference lists and to enhance the discoverability, retrieval, and indexing of scholarly works in bibliographic and citation databases, the bibliographic information of Persian-language sources should be romanized.
The romanization rules set forth in this guide are based on the ALA-LC Persian Romanization Table. However, for authors’ names, in order to maintain citation consistency, an established Latin-script form (usually in English) that the author has used in their published scholarly works should take precedence over re-romanization.
For further information, please consult the Guide to the Romanization of Persian Sources into the Latin Script, available [here].
