Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the performance of librarians of the central library of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz using a 360 degree method.
Methodology: This research, conducted by a survey method, is descriptive and analytical in terms of its purpose in terms of its purpose. The statistical population of the study consisted of managers, librarians, colleagues and users of the central library of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz. The methodology was that each librarian was assessed by the manager, the librarian himself, associates and 28 users, and their views were compared.
Findings: The results showed that librarians' performance status in the knowledge and professional knowledge skill index (4.14), skills Moral value-value (4.22), personality skills (3.94), functional skills (3.87) and communication skills (3.85) were higher than average and were evaluated as desirable.
Conclusion: Performance evaluation of librarians can be one of the main factors in the progress of libraries. Therefore, the evaluation of librarians and their recognition will lead to library upgrades. Assessing librarians by 360 degrees or group assessment can be a new way of evaluating librarians.
