Abstract
Purpose: This study aims to simulate an experimental research about simultaneous application of lyrics and audio in retrieving musical pieces based on the sense emanated from them. Design/Methodology/Approach: This study includes literature review and a simulated experimental research. Data gathering and analysis is done based on quantitative method. Findings: Simultaneous application of lyrics and audio in retrieving musical pieces based on the sense emanated from them is a challenging research field in information science studies, which can be surveyed, tested and generalized in the web environment. Retrieval category covers all subject forms and areas including music information retrieval. Results: In addition to the four well-known senses attributable to musical works i.e. happiness, sadness, angriness, relaxation, there are also other important senses which should be identified in the future studies. It is also necessary to take into consideration the technical, legal and financial issues as the margins and limitations and of such investigations.
