An Evaluation of the Information Storage and Retrieval Systems of Educational CDs for Children in Iran

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to identify the standard criteria for information storage and retrieval in educational CDs for children by studying available methods.
Design/Methodology/ Approach: The evaluation was carried out through a checklist.
Findings: 47.5 percent of the criteria for information storage and retrieval and 73.67 percent of the criteria for software design were observed in the educational CDs for children. This shows that the educational CDs for children are not appropriate in terms of information storage and retrieval, but are favorable in terms of software design.
