Content Analysis of Papers Published in the “Ganjine-ye Asnad Quarterly”

Abstract

The purpose of this research was content analysis of the papers published in historical research and archival studies in "Ganjine ye Asnad quarterly". The methodology of the research was content analysis which is one of the research methods for qualitative research. The study population was the papers in the journal from issue 1-69, consisting of 309 titles. 20 categories were considered for the content analysis of the papers. From 309 papers, 34 are associated with archival studies and 275 are historical research. The assessment of the authors’ perspectives showed that in the topic of archival studies the research priority is "organization of documents". Then come archive history, information and evaluation. The main topic of 80 papers in historical research is the study of biographies on Muslim scholars which is estimated about 25.88 percent. Therefore the “Ganjine ye Asnad” quarterly is a valuable resource on political statesmen and notables.
