An Evaluation of Library and Archival Sciences E-education Courses in the National Library and Archives of Iran

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to study the efficiency of e-education courses of library and archival sciences in the National Library and Archives of I.R. Iran.
Design/Methodology/ Approach: The research uses descriptive-survey method. The research tool was a 23-item questionnaire with Likert scale. For data analysis, SPSS and Excel software were used according to the variables.
Findings: Most of the points are related to presenting and stating the general purposes of e-courses (more than 43 percent), mastery of professors over the course subject and scientific content (40.52 percent), organization and planning of courses (40.51 percent), providing practical examples relevant to discussion topics (more than 37.5 percent). Furthermore, users also consider e-education methods to be positive.
Conclusion: Education using electronic technologies has a prominent role in the process of teaching and learning of students.
