The main issue of this research is to study the views of Islamic scholars in different historical centuries along with their content analysis and critique and to briefly compare their strengths with the current world ranking systems.
The purpose of this study is to highlight the strengths of the views of Muslim scholars in the classification of sciences in order to provide a background for revising popular and current library and classification systems and designing new web-based classification systems based on Muslim rich culture.
The research method in this study is a documentary and library study that by referring to different books and articles, the views of Muslim scholars in the classification of sciences in different periods with policy and critique and their review were developed.It is evident in the classifications of Muslim scholars that there is a fundamental link between science and civilization, between the flourishing of science and the plurality of development of society.
The approaches used by Islamic scholars in the classification of the sciences are: jurisprudential-ethical approach, ethical-educational approach, and educational-educational approach.
